I’ve been researching this. But most of what I have found on the internet is a bit vague or from several years ago & may be outdated.
I guess I should say, what are the democratic main goals for homeland security?

A high ranking grandfatherly looking member of homeland security has been arrested for sending pornography over the internet while trolling for 14 year-old *******. Another ranking member of homeland security has been recently arrested for fondling himself in front of an underaged girl in a public place. Unless the terrorists are hiding inside their pants, we are in trouble.

Which makes more sense regarding fighting terrorism and homeland security?

Bryan asked:

Spend trillions fighting wars in foreign countries?

Or spend money concentrating on the homeland, by securing our borders, deporting illegals, reinforcing our monitoring capabilities for who enters the country and how long they remain?

Some people seem to believe that we can kill all the terrorists in the world. We cannot!
Some people think that we can spread Democracy through force. We cannot!
Some people think we have a right to remain in Iraq because it is better to fight them there than here? We do not!

You cannot end terrorism through war. Terrorism is ideologically based. War does not change ideologies. Education and understanding are required. In order to end terrorism you must remove or alter the root causes. Contrary to popular belief we are no more safer from terrorism than we were on 9/11/01. We will be attacked again at some point.
Telly: We don’t have to agree. Mutual respect for the right to hold and express opinions honestly is sufficient to me.
Lillian: I think you misunderstand. I do not have a problem with killing terrorists. Quite the contrary. I just do not buy into this idea that we can kill all the terrorists. As long as some people believe that it is okay to kill all infidels because they are not Muslims then you will not stop the killing with more killing. You will only cause a reinforcement of their belief patterns.

Additionally, fighting our wars on the soil of other nations based on the actions of stateless enemies does not help the situation much. We are enjoying relative safety and comfort. Meanwhile their countries are battlegrounds for us to try and solve our disputes with fanatics.

The problem with our wars these days and the reason we continue to engage in these activities is because we are largely insulated from the real hell of war.
Sarah C: The **** regime was defeated through war, but the ideology remains to this day. Don’t take what follows as an insult because it is not intended as such. You are making a somewhat false comparison. We indeed can remove governments from power through war, but terrorists are stateless enemies. We can chase, they can run. How many countries are you will to invade?
Moody Red: I agree in concept with what you are saying my friend, except I substitute democracy for freedom. All people desire to live free. Are the Iraqis really free though, or are they only free so long as they follow the ground rules we set down while we use their country as the main front in the war on terror?
Ron N: Interesting and insightful points. Thank you for contributing. Please allow me to express both my condolences and appreciations for the sacrifices your family has made to our nation. I have also served and my brother is currently serving in Afghanistan.

While AG is an upgrade, he may need to spend more time attacking American freedom. When asked about his childhood with his Rabbi father and Israeli mother, why did he say “I plead the fifth”? Hiding his Zionist upbringing? It would be nice if the guy running Homeland Security was a little more open, after all he did author the Patriot Act.

Will the number 2 be safe?
What about the square root of 2? That is the biggest radical of them all. None of us are safe until it is rounded up and put away. It is the Abbie Hoffman of the numerical world.
I should have put this question in the mathematics section. I should have known my number was up.
